Meditation is a non secular daily practice which can help to improve your life both mentally and psychically. While there are many different kinds of meditation the one I have most experience with is Vipassana.

Although I don’t meditate anymore (I found it very hard to keep up the routine), it has profound benefits which accumulate and build over time resulting in a more positive and relaxed outlook on life.

For anyone who with an interest in meditation, the one book I would most highly recommend is ‘The Mind Illuminated: A Complete Meditation Guide Using Buddhist Wisdom and Brain Science’ by Culadasa (John Yates, Ph.D.)

‘The Mind Illuminated’ is the most comprehensive and easy to understand book about meditation which I have ever read, it is very detailed in instructing one how to meditate, what to expect along the way and what to be aware of in each step of the meditation process.

For those of you who are unable to buy the book, Culadasa also has a Youtube channel which can be found here which and as a frequent teacher at meditation retreats, there are also various audio recordings available on Soundcloud.
